Online Webinar on All About Civility - Eliminating a Culture of Gossip, Rumors and Destructive Behavior: Whatever Happened to Respect?

Image
OVERVIEW Whatever happened to respect and civil behaviour? What is the cost when we lose both? Uncivil behaviour, left unaddressed, begins a downward spiral you and your employees can’t afford. Incivility, leads to gossip in the workplace, rumors, and then to bullying, harassment and ultimately, what we see too much in the news every day now, sexual harassment. Over-worked, dis-engaged and undisciplined staff does more harm to your reputation and employee productivity than you can afford. A workplace culture of tolerating a bad attitude by one or more employees is not acceptable. The cause of the employee attitude is generated from how they are treated at work, a seeming lack of respect of them. Is it you or is it the other person that is the real problem? Respect comes from dealing with the situation when it becomes evident. This presentation is how to change the viewing of this person and their behavior to where you move them to be solution orientated. Respect reduces stress, an...

Violence at Work: From Disgruntled Employees and Domestic Violence to Mass Murder

Image
OVERVIEW According to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 5% of U. S. businesses experience violence at work yearly. The percentage of workplace violence increases to 50% for organizations with 1,000 employees. The FBI stated that in 2014 an active shooting incident occurred, on average, once every three weeks. But how is workplace violence defined, and who are the primary perpetrators? This workplace violence prevention training will explore the many aspects of workplace violence. One study indicated that employers pa...
