OVERVIEW During the many years I have been consulting and offering professional development services, I’ve noticed that some people (men and women) present as fragile and unable to speak up for themselves. Sometimes this is cultural – for example some Asian countries still require females to be passive and submissive. There are those of us who stand up for ourselves – there are those of us who walk and talk in a manner that suggests “don’t mess with me.” Particularly in the workplace during the many hours I have spent offering courses in preventing sexual harassment, abuse, bullying and discrimination, I have observed the victimhood culture in America , and the image and personality of those who have been victimized in comparison with those who argue (incorrectly).
