Training Doyens

OVERVIEW When I interview CEOs and other executives they bemoan the fact that it is so difficult to promote competent people into positions of management. This is especially true for those whose professions fall into the categories of  STEM . It is also true in accounting departments and other areas where the skills are highly detailed. Unfortunately, our school system has significantly reduced the amount of time spent on so-called “soft skills” because of the increase in focus on STEM. Emotional Intelligence is not developed –  or not developed adequately. It is very helpful to provide these talented people with an instrument (an emotional intelligence test) that enables them to learn about themselves and to choose to develop strategies that will increase theiremotional intelligence (social, emotional, psychological awareness.)
